Might someone help me out as cannot determine this inquisitive idea for a diorama I am building, but the roads of Leningrad were they tarmaced or cobblestoned during the Siege?

I have been studying a good number of period photos and footage but not sharp enough, it shows the main street and tram areas to be smooth, tarmaced but noticed adjacent roads to be cobbled as well so any hints please?

Ivan

due respect-a lot of you guys gotta start "getting" Google-it's all in there. Even a great photo set of actress Adrienne Barbeau nude and in her prime, but that's a different story for s different day:)happy.gifhappy.gif...anyway it took about 15 sec literally to find Adrienne and Leningrad...go here Ivan and click on the Leningrad Links prompt and you'll have your answer-actually it appears both cobbles and tarmac are fine...here's the site
