I posted this question on Tricks & Tips but got no response, so here goes again: When using casting resin to replicate water in a dio, I find that the resin has a tendency to "climb" up the shore or whatever might be in the "water" - it gives the "water' an uneven appearance. What can be done to eliminate this troublesome problem?

water

Hello, I use enviotex clear casting resin, 2 part mix,it seems to work for me.. if the edges tend to rise up the bank or a wall, after it has dried, you can paint along the edges with the resin to build it up...so it can be even with the rest of the water. The reason the edges rise is the resin shrinks after it dries.
