I am working an a dio for an M1A1-HA Abrams that has been configured for IFOR operations in Bosnia. What I wanted to do was show the Abrams being cleared through a UN Check point. I was wondering what would such a check point look like? The way I envision it would be a simple barrier, a small sand bag bunker with machine gun, or a dug in position for a small AFV. (I'm thinking a M113)Would their be concrete barriers as apart of the firing position, or would barrels filled with sand be used.
I would have 5 figures. 2 would be the M1A1 commander and loader in the hatch, waving and what not. 2 Peace keepers, that would be pieced together from various DML and Tamyia figure sets and one American soldier directing or conversing with the Peace keepers.
Thanks for the info, and help guys. I look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. Maj. John Charvat, the Abrams turned out great. The Combat ID panels really worked out well. I will post a photo as soon as I am done with the diorama. Thanks for your help and for your evergreen sheets.
