Response to How long do you keep your springer cocked? Here's a test.

I've heard and read the opposite too. (Tom Gaylord's R-1 test comes to mind first, althoughas I recall it wasn't cocked for such a long period.)
The question I have is that since he cleaned and lubed it before the test, then fired only 10 shots to get out the excess lube, if that was sufficient to get the gunn shooting normally again. Seems like it would take longer to truely get a gun to settle down after a full cleaning and lube thn 10 shots. If so, the velocity would still be affected at the beginning of the test and could result in skewed results.
