Sounds totally normal to me. I had several of these 97s and the figure you got with CPL is around the same as the ones I had before tune.
If yours is not one of the Beeman badged ones, I would be even happier yet because I heard the non Beeman badged ones had a good chance they were 12fpe models which yours is shooting slightly hotter than that.
I had a 77 years ago with the Beeman factory rating of 830fps which gave me 715fps with CPL and 755fps with Gamo match.]
Don't worry about it.
FT springers between 825-875fps would probably be the ideal velocity shooting the best ammo. Yours is well within that right now.
