but there could be other things going on inside too. Yours is FAC because 12 fpe guns are actually SUB 12 fpe in output. 12 fpe is approx 825 fps using 7.9 Premiers, so anything over that is FAC. MOST of the -97's I see shoot 7.9 Premiers at 860 or better, but as Paul and others have mentioned, there are some slower ones out there and I've run across a few.
Incidently, a winning FT rifle does not have to shoot in the mid 800's. I've produced several that were exceedingly accurate and smooth that shoot 925 fps or so although I try to keep them a tad below 900 as some of the best pellets were designed to function optimally at that level. RB
