While its off the gun?

Hello , I also have a 97 that should be back from the tuner soon. I was wondering about the factory "muzzle weight" I have inspected it with a bore scope from the muzzle end, I was wondering about the internals. Is the muzzle weight/brake that makes it to the U.S. just the factory moderator without baffles? or a different animal all together?

I have thought about removing and disassembling mine then adding my own baffles. I am not sure if a mod would do well on that rifle, but any sound reduction would be great for me.
