and slings do not get along, so I never tried it....Now with squirrel season coming up this weekend, I plan to hut with the RWS 94 .22cal...I like a sling when carrying a gun for a while and also for shooting with a rifle in the field. Today, I said what the heck, if I can't shoot with it, I can at least carry the gun with it. So, I installed studs and put a quick adjust sling on it. I tried it on the bench with a "Hasty Sling Position". I shot a group of 10shots in heavy breeze to gusts of 10-15mph. A couple caught gusts from straight on and straight behind. I think the wind will "pick up" or "push down" a pellet from 6:00 or 12:00 position and close around that....

Anyway, I doped the wind best I could and was dead on at 16clicks up (which is where it was set for my 100yd shooting using the bottom post. ...

What do you guys think?? Should I hunt with a sling position??? Seems to me the sling holds everything in a repeatable atmosphere.

Kind regards,
Anthony
