Beyond that, actually I sympathize with the unusual (maybe unique) problem you face of trying to honestly (if a little optmistically) predict how the guns you tune will perform in a context (i.e., flatlander altitudes) in which it's not feasible for you to test them.
You made a very reasonable guess (based on available info) for how to inflate your chrono readings to compensate for altitude. But unfortunately it looks like you guessed wrong.
I gather that you didn't share with Herb (here I'm making a risky guess) the fact that you were doing that extrapolation. If I guessed right, maybe it would have been better if you had told him. But that's water over the damn too.
But that seems to be the whole story.
