Response to Todd, I said "100fps" because that's (approx) how much additional MV...

is gauranteed. I advertise 11 - 12 fpe or 600+ fps with a 14 grain Daisy WC.

I am simply saying that Herbs gun was shooting the 14 grain pellets at 550 fps or 9.41 fpe. To get to 11 fpe would require an additional 45 fps, or a 14 grain pellet moving at 595 fps.

If your claim of 100 fps were correct, that same 14 grain WC would actually produce over 13 fpe, which I have never claimed my rifles can achieve.

Your comment simply does not fit the facts.

The chrony results I sent Herb had the rifle shooting at an average of 601 fps, or a bit over 11 fpe. Very few of my rifles make it to 12 fpe, but many make it to 11.6 or so... hence my claim of 11 - 12 fpe.

The issue for me to correct is in the inflation of the numbers to correct for altitude. It seems that whatever laws govern these things do not apply to my rifles. Perhaps it's the tranfer efficiency or some other variable I've yet to consider. I am working hard to rectify this issue and have already changed my website to reflect the lower power output.

My new tune adds a top hat, the extra weight has added additional MV especially when using the heavier weight pellets, and so new reviews will reflect that I'm sure.

In my opinion Herb was unhappy with the rifle because it just didn't "feel" right to him. He didn't get the target I said would come with the rifle (because he ordered his without a scope, that little detail is listed on my website), he didn't recieve his spare spring and seals, which I have still not recieved from my order of them, he was expecting the rifle to produce that 11 fpe, which it did not for reasons I do not understand at the moment, and he didn't like the trigger pull or placement.

Now, the low fps issue is a real issue, but the rest of his post is either personal preference or circumstances beyond my control. As I've said many times, this is a customized Chinese springer. It is not, and cannot be, a finely crafted European airgun... If people want to buy a European rifle for 3x, 4x, or 10x the price of my offering, I say "Great!". Just don't buy my rifle expecting it, at $109.00, to be a European airgun. Besides, a big price tag doesn't mean your going to get what you want anyway...

I hope that clarifies my position and sets the record straight.

With power comes responsibility, your opinion and words hold sway here which give you power. I am simply asking that you use your words responsibly and temper your opinion with regard for others.
