I got my replacement seal from Beeman directly. I didn't even ask the place where I bought it for a new seal. If you wanted, I'm sure you could get the o-ring type from Beeman. I think that it is part #H9065. They are about the same price as you mentioned. I'll let you know if I have any better luck with this new seal.
