Response to Here's a different way to directly measure Sight Height of a riflescope.

You're probably going to be surprised by the difference between the Sight Height number you get from this dynamic method, and what you got from simple static measurements.

This is due to two facts...

1. The Sight Height that matters is the one relative to the boreline, not when the gun is sitting idle, but at the instant the pellet exits from the muzzle.

2. Springer recoil makes the muzzle move.
