That you have to try out. Buy a few samples and keep shooting tthe ones that would give you the best accuracy.
For Springers less than 12 ft-lbs I stick to 8.5 grains or less in .177 and less than 14.5 gr in .22
For PCPs, weight will not harm the rifle use the most accurate pellet and a weight that would keep the trajectory to what you desire at your chosen distance
If you keep your trajectory to within an inch, you would hit most of what you aiming at within that range. For longer distances use a mildot scope and observe the holdover. That's what I do.
