Response to FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Let's put our questions and answers here

In general, an Airgun Rated scope is a scope capable of handling a Spring Piston or Gas-Strut Airgun's "unique" recoil. Most standard scopes are mainly reinforced to a rearward recoil of firearms. Recoiling Spring and Gas-strut airguns jolts in both direction and a scope is necessary to be braced to handle that.

Additionally, it is always advisable to maximize precision of shooting airguns is to get a scope that has parallax adjustments within airgun shooting distances...Often as little as 5 yards! But many are happy with airgun scopes that can focus parallax free at 10 yards.

PCP, Pump-up Pneumatics, and Co2 airguns are not required to have "Airgun Rated" scopes as they produce virtually no recoil. BUT it would be nice to find a scope that does parallax focus down to short distances.
