Well, good scopes are not cheap. IMHO best bang for the buck may be the Hawke scopes. I recently got one and with less than a month of use it's broken - we'll see how that resolves - I've sent it back for replacement.

straightshooters.com has a page where scopes are rated as suitable for light, medium or heavy recoil.
