Crosman 600 filmed at 600 frames per second

Here's a better video shot in daylight at 600fps which gives twice the resolution of 1200fps.

Note that the pellet shuttle is linked to the hammer so their movement is directly related,
and we can see the inherently de-bounced nature of the hammer in this design.


I've noticed that when I view the video on my camera, there is a lot more detail, contrast
and colour, and it's a lot brighter. For example I can see the ridges on the top of the
gun, and clear outline of the shuttle etc. But when I take the file directly off the memory
card (no format change) the quality drops dramatically. The colour is faded, nearly greyscale,
the brightness goes down and there's a lot of black areas (e.g. the top of the gun).
Even when I try adjust the brightness in an editor, I see that those details have been lost.
If anyone can explain this to me and how to get around it I'd be very grateful.
