and mechanically very similar to the pro sport. the ballance on the pro sport is more neutral where the TX is more front heavy. I own both and am mow shooting the Pro Sport in field target competition and i am very happy with it. I did put Anchuetz barrel weights on it to add some front weight bias.
I can't comment on the 97. I have only shot one once or twice. nice gun. No experience tih the R1.
