a TX in .177 as just as good as a HW-97 .177. You tune the HW-97 and it will perform as good. BUT I have to agree with Larry P., the TX is a very simple rifle to work on as well as the Pro Sport. Darn good shooters. It's all in the man behind the gun. R-1's, I've had a few, I lean towards the .22, good hunting gun. My 2 cents.
