Doesn't It ? Never seen a weak BKL mount, but double straps are hardly called for on a pcp, Co2, mid or low powered springers, or a finely tuned FT rig.

The hold issue at the rails is limited to the surface area of the dovetails and mount. The hold at the rings & scope tube actually has ALLOT MORE surface area by comparison ! Savvy ? ;^) Naturally the firmer holding ring is not as likely to bind or pecker a fine scope. So I guess I get your meaning ?
