It rained alot last week so I was planning to hunt a couple of Wallows that have plenty traffic, I got to the one with the best wind angle before 8 AM only to find it dry, the disappointment after the expectation was absolutely huge.
I sat over it pondering what to do next when within 1/2 hour a really, really nice boar comes trotting up the trail, I'm hoping he stops even for a few seconds to check the wallow, but instead he just keeps trotting away, needless to say I never had a chance for a shot, Now I was really aggravated so I decided to go and check out the other wallow, not so good for windirection but being more secluted I was hoping for some water, and this one has even more traffic.
that one too was dry, DANG !!!!
Back to the 1st one and sat on it for 5 Hours with nothing coming by
So I decided to go check a real small one that usually has moisture but little traffic, when I got there, there was water indeed, after 2 hours sitting on it a saw shows up, didn't waist no time and as soon she approched and put her head down I send a Bullet on its way.
I was carring my stock Ultra shooting the Roundball, this gun is incredibly accurate,..the shot was in the 25-30 yards range
I Allways test a gun a day or 2 before taking her hunting, this was a 5 shots group at 40 yards
