on selling it ever, leave it alone. Refinishing any rifle, even if you are a professional finisher can take from original value in certain cases. It depends on if buyer wants a nice looking or an original rifle, are they a collector or are they going to utilize the rifle to hunt or target shoot with. Do a search on Ron S. 124 custom stock. I personally would pay more for that one as it is nicer to me than stock configuration. Yours doesn't look bad in picture. I would let it be and decide later. Are you going to use it hard, hunt, could it get scratches, do you really want a perfect finish you will only mar up? Or will it be a show piece safe queen. Consider all of this and go from there. If it were mine and I planned on keeping forever I would strip, sand, refinish. But that's just me.
