Response to Casting bullets ... those who actually do it:

Impurities will be burnt off but once you have clean lead there are no vapors. The lead would have to be heated over 900 degrees (I don't recall the exact temp) to get vapor and most electric pots can't even get there.

Edit, the boiling point of lead is 1749 °C,3180 °F, at this temperature toxic vapors will be released and hugely detrimental health issues would be clear and present. Don't let your pot get this hot!

Now, melting point aside...lead is said to burn bluish-white... No, I don't think we've seen any combusted lead in the videos...
