With my leap into springer's it was time to build myself a spring compressor. Let me just say I have almost no experience with wood working. My plan was to take it slow and measure many times before I cut. At my disposal were very basic hand powered tools. Drill, table saw, and multipurpose screws, Oh and grade #3 lumber because I'm cheap. This was my first mistake. I now know that I need square lumber too have a project to come out SQUARE,...lol The grade 3 is just to lumpy, rounded, warped. You can see by the pics that the UN-true wood left the dimensions tilting, angled. Lesson two: use a square and clamps to keep items from moving when drilling pilot hole for wood screws. This contributed to out of alignment pieces. Mistake three: trying to build this project in an hour. I accomplished that, with sour results. Being Hyperactive, "Slow Down" is as alien as,.... well an Alien!
So onto the pics.
A big thank You to Robert Fischer for his free blueprints. I thought it looked like my skill level.
