I felt bad this morning so I took a sick day. Didn't get up till 11:30. I was getting ready to eat some dinner when I looked out my front window and saw about 25 starlings flying around and landing in my lane to take a bath in a water puddle. They would take turns and then fly up to a power line and sit there to preen and squawk. So I grabbed my Falcon rs .177 out of the cabinet, loaded up a clip and snuck out the back door. I set up on my railing and took aim. Dropped three before they all flew away. They kept coming back and I just kept picking them off. Ended up getting 15 in about an hour but was only able to recover 11 as some made it accross the field before they crashed. Two are crackles but the rest were the juvenile starlings. They are much easier to shoot than the adults as they kept coming back. When you shoot an adult starling the rest will usually leave and not come back any time too soon. Any way even tho I was home sick I did start to feel better after that.
