Of the slide has killed the firing mechanism.in the sense the spring doesnt seem to have the strength to throw the hammer into the valve anymore..so while the slide is bolted to carriage, the gun is non functional.yes the slide while attached still moves in both directions smoothly by hand..too much weight perhaps or im seriously missing something. "i never was much for book learnin"
