Response to Anyone with ability to make Hill MKIII 3/16' brass piston
I put 2 brand new kits in it. Still didn't work. Then I remembered I had ordered a brand new 3/16' brass piston that screws on pump rod from Russia. It had a black #005 O-ring and a white Teflon ring. I took entire piston off rod, just unscrews and put on the old original Hill one with one #005 green O-ring on it. I had initially bumped this piston, bent it slightly and straightened it out. It worked fine. I just figured I'd buy a brand new never bent one. Well, that brand new never bent one was causing the pump to not be able to draw air in at all. Handle could not be pulled up. Maybe it didn't need that white Teflon ring? If you look at both parts side by side there is a slight difference.
So if anyone can make me an exact replica out of brass of the Hill MKIII piston I'd pay you for it. It may not be worth either of our time if anyone knows how to get actual Hill replacement parts. Not just rebuild kits. Thank you and contact info is: firstname.lastname@example.org 1-570-977-1149
P.S. Russia also sent a white Teflon check valve that goes under the cone spring. It has no O-rings, just rounded to seal the hole I guess, but I can't get it to work so about $50.00 bucks wasted and not worth returning to Russia. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
