or Picatinny rail on top of springers. BSA used to go through the trouble of making and mounting their Maxi-rail. This was just a chunk of extruded aluminium rail. Others will bother to set up a mill and cut scope groves. It can't be that much more difficult to just buy Weaver or Picatinny "bar-stock" in bulk and put a chunk on top of your receiver.
How many decades have airgunners been diddly f&@#ing around with stop pins, scope stop blocks, loctite, nail polish, rubber cement and mounts designed by Rube Goldberg? Stop the insanity.
Geez, they could just drill and tap and let the customer buy the bases.
