Gamo opinions

A friend is looking for a cheapo spring rifle for hunting small game. The Crosman B18 series is an option but the barrels are a gamble for accuracy. How are the Gamo break-barrels with the thick plastic barrel covering? Are they durable or does the plastic wear quickly at the hinge pivot?

The Gamo Varmint, Big Cat and the Wasp are considerations. Will a Crosman mainspring and piston seal will fit any of these models? It's good to have parts support for these wear items.

Thanks
