That's a huge difference, and sometimes when you use regular calipers, whether it is digital or not, it's tough to get an accurate reading on. I've found that 8.44 grain Air Arms or JSB'S will vary between 4.50-4.55.... in the same tin. A Pelletgage is the way to go. It helps with the consistency of the pellets, so you can know your pellets are uniform to each other, and greatly reduce the flyers.
