Awhile back I thought about the rws 9b, But i was turned off by a couple of people not liking it. But I once again have that hunger for a powerful air pistol.

I found a couple of reviews for the 9b, and some people really liked it.

I wanted something inbetween a webley tempest and a beeman p-1. The 9b seems to fit the bill..with fewer "bills"

The cheapest i've found it is 124...i'm not sure if i want the nickel or black version.

I had one that I received in a trade, I rarely shot it and sold it...

power was no where near advertised, maybe with a spit wad shooting over the chrono...too many steps in the loading/firing sequence, I much prefer the Tempest for that type of air pistol...just my opinion...if you search the forum, you'll see posts by myself and ZVP and others on the 9B...

Regards,

Tony

I guess i'll find out for myself. The tempest dosn't quite have the power, and accuracy, and the p1 is far too pricy.

Perhaps it was a bad one? Most reports i've read, it shoots in the 480-490s with regular pellets, and 550 with really light ones. Tempest only gets 420-450 and it costs more. I also like the look of the 9b better. Though the 9N's finish seems more duable (scratches dont show, and black dosnt wear off) Not sure which to get.

Rutten, BSA 240 Mag and RWS 5G Mag

also fall somewhere in between. However, BSA 240 discontinued, RWS 5G is kinda long...

So I must agree with Ric about IZZY. GREAT VALUE! And accuracy is totally different level.

Every time i mention the izzy,...people say its not for plinking ect. I'm looking for an all around plinker, paper puncher

the 9b is also small and compact. but the izzy looks nice.

Anyone got a used one for sale? the "m" version.

James, I have 9 B, nothing to be exited about.

BSA 240 Mag is kinda out of reach as somehow collectable item. If I ever dreamed of any pistol I rather could buy than make myself, I'd have IZH-46M, just ask ricdoug.
