Center Point / Crosman 3-9x40 mil-dot scopes on a springers, R1, RWS 54 or any other Magnums. Just curious as the optics seem to be quite good for a $30.00 / $40.00 scope. I spoke with Center Point and they assured me that they would hold up to all Magnum Spring Gun applications.

Got a CP 4-16X40...

July 5 2009, 10:13 PM

on my tuned Gamo Big Cat. Been on it for about 4 months now, no problems so far. Before that I had a Leapers 3-9X32 on it and it stood up to the Gamo twang and vibration for several months before the tune. It still works good. From what I've read on the forums, CP & Leapers have good warranty service should a problem arise. I think they're hard to beat for the price.

I have a Leapers 3x9x40 on a RWS mod.48 for 2+ years still works and had a 4X Bug Buster on a Mod.34 but the eye relief was so short I took it off and put it on a slightly modded Crosman 1377 pistol it held up to. If BLK ever gets going I may get one of there ofset mounts and put it back on the 34.

I have had a Leapers 3-9x40 for three years and have had no problems.

I have had it on a Shadow 1000 for 3000+ rounds and a Talon for 8500+ rounds. It has been in rain, snow, hot 95 degree, and cold 0 degree weather and I have not had a single problem. It may not be as clear as some of the more expensive scopes but you won't shoot any better with a $300 Bushnell than a $70 Leapers.

I've got 4 leapers scopes now and thoroughly trust

them, and quite frankly find them as tough as any scope I've got...and I've got a few pricey ones. The clarity of optics, repeatable clicks, and AO accuracy is well worth the money in my opinion. My next will be a 4-16 AO...all mildot's.....I have a 3-9X40 on my Lonestar, and that's the 3rd gun it's been on...1st was a B40, then a Winchester 1000X...which has horrendous recoil and ate 2 BSA's and a Bushnell....so I don't think you'll find them wanting.
