I know they are not really "adjustable" for power but is there a way to lighten the spring? I see a screw in the back of the breech that looks like it can be unscrewed to lighten the hammer spring?

Has anyone done any small mods to increase shot count and decrease the FPS spread per shot?

I just got one and I think that screw adjusts the spring load like you said. I found a Swedish site that may sell different springs and/or hammers to do mods with my translation plug-in isn't working at moment. And now I can't find the site!

This is pretty good stripdown sequence though - it's for the Typhoon but should be the same as our Whispers I think.

If your receiver looks like the one in the picture simply unscrew the 3/16 Allen screw in the very back bottom on the receiver.
The Royale is the same, my Royale had a thin plastic spacer and was screwed in about .5 (1/2) inch. I removed the spacer and then unscrewed it until it is flush and it lowered the power a lot. Hope this helps.

My gun is the Royale but it looks like the receiver is the same in the picture. The Royale has a 400 cc bottle so it obviosly gets more shots. Not sure what cc's the Whisper has. Just for information the Royale got about 60 shots at 40 FPE and 120 shots at 30.9 FPE. At the lower power it was starting off at 866 going up to 899 and back down to 866 over 120 shots for a 33 FPS variation over the string.
