middle left polymags, middle right Dynamic TM2's
bottom left Air Arms Diabolo Field .22 Cal, 5.51mm, 16 Grains

December 10 2010, 12:14 AM

I try to get some sweet groups
just wait until my wife is done with school and we can move out of the city we live in
I WILL have a dedicated 200 yard range with nice benches and a heated shooting area wink.gif
the wife has already approved she only has 1 yr left of her RN program and we can sell our house and move out to the country where we can have some land!!!
Maybe someday I can shoot 1/2 as good as harry if that happens ill be a happy man!

RWS48

Looks like that RWS liked the Vortek kit. Nice shooting. Personally, I've never heard anyone ever say German guns are sub-par. If anything were true, you might hear that the Germans provide the standard of the industry for the rest of the world manufactures to come close to achieving.

Good luck popping crows,

Mike

crowpopper, great groups. I've got two 48's and a 52, and they are equally accurate. I don't understand why the 48's are'nt used more in FT. They are great guns.

You will love your m48 even more!!!! the more you shoot your tuned m48.

December 10 2010, 7:52 AM

You will find even more accuracy out of your m48 now that it is tuned. I have had my m48 for years and years and once I installed the JM GSI kit it was a totally different animal. Since then there have been many changes at to what is available.

Next try shooting out to 50 yards. With practice you should be able to do similar groups at 50 with your best pellet.

I wish I could find my best target I ever shot. It was my JM GSI'd m48 in .177 3 shots with crow magnums (I chicken out and was afraid to shoot any more). Through the scope I thought I had missed shot 2 and 3.... well when I went o collect my target the 3 pellets were stacked one ontop each other and the holes all overlaping.

After a while I got very comfortable taking head shots on squirrels at up to about 75 yards using a rest. Would consistently hit my mark 4 for 5 or 5 for 5 at that distance.

I had not shot it for a couple years as life was busy with kids etc. but now that my 6 year old son is getting into shooting, I took it out.. boy am I rusty sad.gif but I trust with practice it will come back.

Very nice groups! keep up the great work. Don't you love it some days when things fall into place and all your targets at 30 yards look like a single shot? If we could only do that every day

Shoot it you will get years and years of enjoyment.

Bruce

nice shootin crowpopper i just put a vortek kit in my 48 a few months ago i now the feelin, its a great shooter, it feels like a gas piston, not at all hold sensitive any more, and one hole accurate, much of the time i can shoot my 48 better than my aa pro sport( which is very accurate also.)love shootin this rifle. i see your in n.y. if your anywhere in the adirondacks your a very lucky man, theres some really great outdoors there.keep up the nice shootin

Looks Great!

Great shooting! And a bigger plus is that your 48 isn't pellet fussy. Magnum springers often are.

My Rob Hawkins-tuned 470 TH .22 loves CP's, and of all the pellets I've tested, that's about all it shoots well. I had a .22 Eliminator, and that one only shot Kodiaks well.
