Edgun .25 R3 vs Air Ranger .25 65 FPESeptember 4 2011 at 1:37 PM

After months of research I am down to these two airguns and I am finally close on the funding. I really like the Edgun but I don't want to wait the 6+ months. You guys pointed me at the FX Royale 500 the last time I posted but it is way too long at 47". Basically my requirements are still:
compact (40" or less OAL w/ shroud)
high quality (budget $2500 for gun alone)
decent shot count for .25 (min 25)
minimum 45+ FPE
Am I missing other choices? Help !!! Thanks...

air ranger 25 and spend 500 on a bullpup conversion, or spend 500 on an mrod 25, spend 1000 on tuning it , adding match trigger setup, and bullpupping it and adding a serious barrel.
Thanks I have a restocked MRod .25 and it is a tack driver.

Forget the Edgun unless something changes people waiting 10mos already.
Jamie(usmc shooter)said he would put his .25 m-rod against any other for 100yd
accuracy and I believe him and think what you could buy with $1500 dol.

take the 25 mrod and make it a mad science project with lw or smooth twist barrel, 2 oz trigger, bullpup ergo stock, internally modded for 60 ftlbs, air tube extension, regged , the whole 9yrds

easily available and very strong
50 FPE special order? How many shots? It gets a little long with a LDC.

LEE IN VA.
40" oal, .25 cal. and quiet isnt possible

Believe me I've been searching for a 25 fpe .22 under 38" and quiet. My .25 Mrod is very quiet with shroud extension but its 46" long. It has air tube extension for more shots and depinged. When compared to high end guns I don't think you can justify it.

before buying a Marauder you have to ask yourself how long are you willing to wait to get it tuned up enough to compare to a Daystate. and after waiting 2 months to over a year, you still have a Marauder. hard to compare a Chevy to a Cadillac( or in this case a Chevy to a Rolls). let me think- $1500 for a maxed out Marauder or $1700 for a Daystate? let's not even got into #4(quality)
