Need some P-rod HELP!

Picked up this new Prod yesterday and on the second mag thru it removed the mag on rnd #7 then re-inserted and had Total Temporary Stupidity! Forgot about rnd #7 and cocked for rnd #8.

So it's jammed with one in the breech and one between the mag and breech since the mag won't come out. I think the mag has rotated to the empty blocked position since the bolt won't move forward either. Can't push out with cleaning rod because of the mag index at least not with any reasonable force.

Is there a way to remedy this situation today?

tough situation

You got yourself pretty stuck...

I would just take it all apart, by removing the breech/barrel assy, then remove the barrel.

I think firing it would be dangerous....

I agree

But since I don't have a degassing tool is it safe to take apart? I can't find a diagram of the assembly and don't want a valve part or similar blowing thru my face.

De gassing would be safest

But I think you can take it apart without de-gassing. I have done this with my marauders.

You don't need to degas to remove the breech. The valve will still hold the pressure like normal.

what I did for such jams

February 5 2012, 12:31 PM

I took a soft-coated tool (in this case the handle of a slip-jawed plier) and a hammer and firmly tapped the magazine out. It sheared off the pellet. I've had to do this more than once as I was trying to cure a jam situation I encountered while fitting a Marauder rifle barrel to the P-rod. No damage to the P-rod. No damage to the magazine. Good luck.

jam

next time try de-gass then take off the shroud put a cleaning rod in the muzzle
tap it firmly the pellet will push back into the clip very easily and you wont risk
damage to the barrel or mag

CLEARED

February 5 2012, 1:01 PM

Took off the breech and the hammer popped the valve a little even though it wasn't cocked as in trigger set. It was a little startling even though I was prepared for it but nothing to cause incontinence.

Removed the barrel and the #8 rnd fell out then pushed #7 out with cleaning rod. Switched the bolt to the other side while I was at it then reassembled.

The work wasn't too hard at all but the "what ta do?" sucked.
Anyway thanks to all who responded it made the difference between shooting and brooding!
