Fixing a regulator

Are regulators generally user rebuild-able? I was a repair technician for robots for 11 years and then I repaired semiconductor process tools for years, so I am pretty handy with a wrench. The rifles are belly up, so I thought I would take them apart and see if I could do something. Wise or not?

go ahead, ive pulled mine out on every gun ive owned just keep it super clean and dont force anything, they are pretty simple little devices and little adjustments will give you results good or bad, remember making one loose for more air in the chamber is a delicate balance with hammer spring adjustment.

Well

not disagreeing with Tommy, but not all regulators are created equal. Depends on the gun and type of reg, before I'd suggest you dig into it.

Depends on a few things...

the reg itself is a fairly simple little piece of equipment. Taking it apart, and putting it back together are fairly simple processes. No black magic there.

The hard part comes in setting it. Unless you have a test chamber to install it into tot set, it can be a very long and laborious project getting it just right for your application.

I have not seen the ones you are asking about (the hamerreli right?). However, if you can get some picts of the pieces I will be more than happy to take a look at them and help you get through the project as best I can from this end.

Give me a shout at 304-273-0937 if I may be of assistance...

Regards,
DaveG
