Hey Eddie here is some more info for you about my daughters Huntsman Classic. I filled to 210 BAR and shot a 30 shot string. I was using LED lights over my chronograph and I got about 20fps lower velocity average than when outdoor with natural light. I double checked it with my Royale 400 and got the exact same 20fps difference compared to outdoor lighting. Interesting! The Huntsman averaged 855fps outside and 835fps with the LEDs indoors. Anyway... here are photos of the shot string velocities and the 30 shot group I shot at 18 yards in my back yard. Sorry I don't have a longer range in my yard to see if POI might have changed during the string. Hope this helps you out some.

That looks pretty good thanks for taking the time to post, I am sure others will be interested as I was in what the Huntsman Classic would do! I am not sure why chrony's do that but I have heard that before! I have set up a gun just shooting over a chrony in both inside and outside, just to find out like you did on different readings! I am not sure what others do but natural light being outside is what I go by when setting fps! Thanks again for taking the time out to post! But if you are like me it's all FUN!!

when indoors, the LED light is causing the passing pellet to be 'seen' at an angle relative to the fixed position of the sensor(s) on the chronograph. This would change the relative distance between the two sensors and would then skew the resultant FPS calculation. Just a guess without any experimentation to confirm the suspicion...

As do both my shooting buddy and his wifes Huntmans.

I think AofA may have used the longer tubed Huntsman for their test, I dont know... Mine gives me 34 good shots, but the other two will do 30. Seems on par with others' results.

Classic as doing about 23-24 fpe but my daughters rifle is doing 29fpe. Must be using a lot more air to go from 23fpe to 29fpe.

my XL gets about 55-60 shot but at around 25fpe. would probably get a few less at 28-29fpe

A few weeks ago i was tempted to sell my Rainstorm and buy a Huntsman due to what i believed to be an unreal shot count. I sure am glad I decided against it ! I have the carbine, and am getting 45 shots at over 28 fpe. I appreciate you gents setting the record straight !
