I bet that foamy barrel guard messes with poi way down range. I wonder if I could order another one form TopGun as I could enlarge its diameter such that it could protect the barrel and float.

I wish those CZ folks that designed that rifle wouldah put alittle more Al on that receiver to the barrel would be locked in tight....and the scope wouldn't have to be mounted on a bracket affixed to the barrel. That's the only hang up or short coming of this gun that I have noticed thus far..

Been shooting rams, turkeys, and pigs today with good effect.

attaching the scope to that front bracket is not a good idea IMO

its not secured to anything and any pressure on the scope can make the barrel move - and even if slight - will change poi

s200 barrel band

I just opened up the band a bit with some fine sandpaper so that the barrel floats inside, as for the mounts, I use a reach forward mount on a big Bushy 4200 so as not to use the front mount, which allows me to use a level on the front mount, I can actually see the level out of my left eye while sighting through the scope.

First ones were free floated.

But evidently many owners didn't care for the unstable fore end. Enough wanted that changed that Pilkguns still lists the mod to update those free floating ones to barrel band versions.

Have tried not using the forward block and using it...maybe a better shooter than I can tell a difference, but I can't.

Free float

Here's a post from last summer about accuracy. Though I didn't mention it, the barrel band had been removed. The tenon, barely an inch long, does seem skimpy....but works OK.

Your post from last year

listed some specs that you had measured on the CZ 200 barrel. Would you have similar measurements from other barrels that you would care to share? Just curious about how they might compare. TIA,
