I didn't want to buy this Gun, but the more I think about it the more I realise that I actually will end up getting it LOL happy.gif

The .357 BullPup will really fit into that slot now Occupied by my DAQ .452 Carbine, ....compact easily manuvrable Bushgun, I'm constantly tryng to maximaise my Airsenal, and the Semi feature for close quater Bush Hunting is really something to consider heavily compared to the single shot of The DAQ, of course unfortunatly keeping both Guns is out of the question, too much of a luxury that I can't afford sad.gif , so I better enjoy my DAQ to the Fullest for the Time being before I have to sell it to fund the Speed .357 happy.gif

I think, .....unless I'm mistaken Jim Chapman has a .357 on the way for testing, looking forward for reviews,....Man I'm hitching now happy.gifhappy.gif

well while I am very interested myself I am extremely cautious & not buying into the hype

first off I have long been a fan of the Korean guns but we have no long range stats on reliability of this new platform
remember these new guns are a fusion of Airsoft with Airgun technology
owned a few very high end Airsofts by G&G and have to say if you run Airsoft hard there are reliability issues which I suspect will be enchanced in this melded approach
particularly given the light weight magazine indexing hand in past Evinix guns being ran at very high speed and the Far greater weight of the loaded 9mm magazine.

perhaps they have really beefed everything up, I don't know but no one who has reviewed these guns have took close ups of the action or even commented on the action build quality
face it, the AR6 looked good on the outside but start examining the internals and you find all sorts of cheesy, flimsy light weight stamped bits
same is true of the Career and other outwardly decent looking Korean rifles
again the devil here is in the electronics and whether Evinix serious beefed up the hand/pawl that indexes the magazine.
another pecularity of the Evinix design which is actually a revolver and unlike a powderburner revolver with the AR6 at least there is really no positive locking of the magazine cylinder which sometimes leads to the cylinder's bore indexing slightly past where it should be leaving it out of alignment with the breech end of the bore.
this pecularity is reasonably common, seen it on at least 3 of the AR6 guns I have owned mostly when being rapid fired
I can mag dump an AR6 fast but not nearly as fast as the Speed
It is a concern for me on a full auto big bore...result would likely not be fun on a burst

like to see closeups of the mechanics
I mean sheesh...we all know what these guns look like now...lets get some close in shots with the magazine removed and out of the stock
I am just a little wait and see given my long experience with earlier guns using what appears to be the same basic magazine design
while I have a solid electronics background I do wonder how many shooters will be able to service these hybrids on there own?

won't be accuracy issues, Korean barrels are of excellent quality as you well know but I am still on the fence

Magazine

There is no indexing hand to index the magazine. The mag operates just like one on a FX,Theoben..

In the beginning I was also cautious. I own a couple of Korean big bore rifles ( 9mm Ultra multi shot) (50cal Dragon Slayer). The quality is "so so" IMO. Now when I got my 25 SPEED. I was like "whoa!". This rifle looks, and feels just like my Air Arms 410/510. The whole action of the gun looks quality. The reciever looks real nice, trigger, fire selector, etc etc. The quality of the wood is good too. No gaps, a nice tight fit with the action.

I have fixed, modded, and tinkered with many pcp airguns before. Believe me I have seen worse. On some guns that cost more $$. The Speeds internals do not look bad at all. Evanix also uses ball bearings in the internals..

I did a review on my gun.

thats good news

February 6 2012, 4:17 PM

was not sure how the mags were running, if they are spring assisted that overcomes many of my concerns
still a bit on the fence but it is sounding better!
