i was shooting my .22 mrod off the bench this morning. ran out of a tin of pellets and grabbed another. first shot i knew something was wrong. the pellet of choice for this gun is the 15.9 jsb and they usually shoot a ragged hole off the bench. the first shot was 2 inches high and slightly left. the second shot was 1 inch right of first shot. third shot was 2 inches high and right. probably a 2 inch group. came to the house and got my calipers out. don't know how to convert from inches to mm. i measured several of the pellets and they were 2.14 to 2.15. i have some polymags that shot pretty close to the other jsb's so i measured several of them and they were 2.17 to 2.18. i had several new cans that i removed the tape and measured and they were 2.14 to 2.15 and i finally opened the last can thinking oh well. will have to either shoot the polymags or wait on an out of stock order from pa for several weeks. the last can measured 2.17 to 2.18 so hopefully they will shoot like the first ones. wish i had measured them. would appreciate if someone can tell me in mm what the 2.14/2.15 and 2.17/2.18 head sizes are. hopefully the ones i have ordered will have the larger head size.

Conversion - Google will do it for you

Type the following in the Google search line:

.215 in in mm

and you will get the answer of 5.46mm. Although I have never heard of JSBs being that small.

1 inch = 25.4 mm

You never stated what unit 2.14 is, but here is the method you need to use:

Assuming inch:
2.14 inches x 25.4 mm/inch (note how the inch unit cancels out, and you get only mm) = 54.3 mm

Assuming mm:
2.14 mm x 1 inch/25.4mm (note how the mm unit cancels out, and you get only inches) = 0.0843 inches.

Do you mean .214 inches instead?

That would mean 5.43 mm
