Some of you may remember me complaining a few weeks about this scope. When I first got it I mounted it on my .25cal. HW 90 and within the first 5 shots it wasn't holding zero. I sent it back to leupold and they replaced the whole rector system , when I got it back I mounted it back on the same gun and within 15- 20 shots THE SAME THING HAPPENED!
So I boxed it back up and sent it back again for the 2nd time .
Again they replaced the whole erector system ,I mounted it back on the gun and it seems to be holding up. I really hope this scope lasts because
the optics are crystal clear . The tech. At leupold told me if it happens again within 6mos they will send me a new scope. I think their customer service is great but I still think that there's no reason why a $400.00 scope should break like that ....even it it does have a lifetime warranty.
Z Best Warr....."FOR LIFETIME".......sure there may have been

problems but Springers are harsh/recoil. In some cases worse than big powder burners as the recoil is not fluid...Ok, well maybe a Nitro Express is worse but still more fluid.
To me, anything that has the aforementioned Warr. is worth its weight in gold. This might have happened with another scope....the mfg would say we are sorry!???
For me a Leopold holds its value and has fine optics. However, you pay for this but these scopes give me piece of mind knowing I can return and even get a brand new scope.

I bought an Eclipse30 6-24 off the Yellow here a couple years ago that was listed as never used (originally came as a combo with a Daystate from AoA if memory serves). When I got the scope I found it to have some serious clarity issues which started around 10x power and was nearly unusable at anything 20x and above. I forwarded the e-mail conversation I had with the original owner which included him saying he would send the scope in for warranty and then ship the replacement to me if need be. The guys at Hawke were happy to help me out and I was able to send the scope myself and the replacement was back in my hands a couple weeks later.
So, while the warranty doesn't officially transfer to a second owner, some exceptions are made.
I purchased a unused Hawke off the Yellow that was damaged in shipment to me...looked like a steel rod had went through the shipping box and Hawke hardcase to shatter the objective lense
called Hawke, told them the story, they shipped me a brand new replacement and a RMA return on the damaged one that same day
wasnt even their responsibility, I just wanted to see if they could repair it
real good folks at Hawke
Sell it to me...Lightest weight 3X9 avail and very compact....I will

I sold all of my EFRs 3-9x33 for Clearidge 3-9x32 that ALREADY comes with Mildot for $250 vs. $550 for "upgraded" Leupold. Smarter choice and a lifetime warranty as well. And yes, they are both equally clear...same Japan glass.
Not all Leupolds created equal and EFR series is definitely too much money for what it is. Leupold charges extra from the get-go so you can have so called "lifetime warranty." Thankfully, now there are many companies on the market that have stellar bs-free warranty packages at no additional cost: Vortex, Clearidge and few others. I will never forget how my EFR broke on...TX200! No more issues with Clearidge glass.

New seals ,o rings , breech seal , and while the scope was being fixed (1.5mos. The first time & 1month the 2nd time) I mounted an accushot scope and shot about 500 shots without a problem.
