I wonder what it would take. I'm assuming you would have to adjust for lower power after shortening it.. Seems like it can be done. Who can do this for me?

Yea I understand that. Mods would have to be made to the air system in the front and adjustment of power. But I probably won't do it. The most I can shorten is 3-4 inches because of the piston sticking out the front. Not worth it.

has a 500 cc bottle...simply buy a 400 cc bottle and you will reduce 3 to 4 inches and reduce the weight about 3/4 of a lb. I did this to mine and yes the shot-count went from 60 to about 45 but that for me and hunting is way more than I need. You how have a short gun and weighs about 6.5 lbs. Win/Win

which means it'll work 'better' and you'll be able to cycle heavier pellets.
It's not a blowback semi-auto, so more energy won't open the bolt prematurely.
The operation only happens after the pellet leaves the barrel.

But it will increase the speed of moving parts so there's a chance parts could
wear out quicker, but hopefully the manufacturer has allowed a decent design margin.

I own a fine Revo....Should not mess with length of barrel...to many variables...there are those that have tried & they knew what they were doing but had cycle issues....Very balances a factory for Blow Back operation...any adj can be highly critical in blow back guns. Always remember when a shorter barrel is applied you May get loss of FPE...Mine @33FPE is great! Oh and Do-Not lube pellets as the lube can get into the blow back under air tub.
