640X480= Huge Image Cat Face----Here's Why----

August 3 2017, 10:12 PM

My 'Off Topic' post pic was only 640X480= 900Kb. When IMGUR asked my choice of pic. format, I clicked 'Original'. My Mistake !!!!!!
I couldn't believe the screen size that came up from my original 900Kb file size.
http://www.network54.com/Forum/417256/message/1501782829/Now+That+is+a+GREAT+SHOT+%21%21%21++----
Sooooooooooo, this time I clicked on the 'Medium Thumbnail' and this is how it looks. Still the same file size (900Kb), but much smaller image on screen size. The lesson I've learned here is that the screen size chosen determines the real estate used on screen.
It's not the file size, (Kb/MB), but rather the amount of space you choose to display it on; i.e.'original', 'small box', 'large box', 'large thumbnail','Med thumbnail', 'small thumbnail'. Hope that helps.
IMGUR is easy and if I can muddle it onto the screen, you can also.
What you will see below is the SAME image File Size as the HUGE cat face in Off Topics page. The ONLY Difference is the choosing of the format choice of 'small/large boxes', 'thumbnails' small/Med/Large, etc.
In the pic below I chose the 'Med. Thumbnail'.
Thanks for your Patience,
doug,P.
