Just received the Diana 350 Panther in .22. Have a question for anyone. Can the front sight be removed? It has a set screw that can be removed, but it appears to be glued on. I would like to remove the sight without damaging. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It's Been Awhile but I Think The Mallet and 1x2" or 2x4" Piece of Wood Is Also What I Used

Tap one side of the sight in the direction of the muzzle, then the other side, then back to the first side, and repeat until it slides off. It should work. I might try heat from a blow dryer if that doesn't work, but personally I never liked the idea of using water. If you do use water, make sure you dry the barrel off really well, including the inside of the bore then re-lube it with a little dab of gun oil so there's no chance of rust. Barricade is a very good rust inhibitor on guns.

Let a hair dryer blow on it---

for 30 min. and it should twist right off. Use a shop towel for grip and heat protection.

Yeah! 1200W Hair Dryer is my Go To Heat Source-----

Not Too Hot, but hot enough for 90% of what I need to do. And I'm surprised that it took 30 min.?
Usually for my 1200w., 15 min is tops needed.
Good Call.
