Its a Cometa. Search for it under that name instead of AF.

There are some tibits out there for the Lynx (one of their prior pcp's) and a few video's for this one that look to be made by an owner but most are still the retailer/wholesaler.

Looks like a winner. hammer forged barrel, good looking wood stock with adjustable cheek

rest, lowish fill pressure, short and light, muffled barrel, repeater...for just under $600. Someone made some good choices on the specs for this gun.

It does look good . But they state it is a AF trigger not a Cometa . But fail to state what it can be adjusted to . Nor is a actual shoot count stated with Air gun Depot video . Marvin

Cometa tends to build airguns just a little off the beaten path

most (of the few that have entered this country in significant numbers) were well made, though I seem to recall one model that didn't have a great rep.

One of the reviews said the .22 would easily hold a tight group over two magazines full, so 26 shots seems like the minimum shots per fill at US spec levels. That's what you get with the combination of highish output, a smallish, low pressure reservoir, and no reg. One of the Brit testers got 140 shots at 10.5 ft/lbs, so it probably would give you a hundred shots per fill at 12 ft/lb.

The upside of that is that pumping back to full would be easy and quick, with no need to rest the pump.

I may just sell one of my M-rods and replace it with the Orion, it sounds like a much better match to my preferences in a gun.

Personally, I wish there were more guns on the market specd like this. Lower fill pressure, so the reservoir doesn't need to be as strong(heavy)give up a dozen shots per fill in return for a shorter reservoir and handier gun, no reg, so simpler and more reliable, and put the money into a great barrel.

Check the Pyramyd Air Blog and search for Orion

Tom Gaylord has written 3 parts of the review of the Orion. Looks like he planned a part 4 but that doesn't seem to have been written.

Found some info

January 7 2018, 6:33 PM

To day I was unable to find a source for single shot trays . But I saw that a mag was right at $ 60.00 . So I picked up my Gauntlet and spent a couple of hours with it . Think I will hold off the Orion . Marvin

Yeah, that's a ridiculous price for a plastic magazine

AF e mail

January 10 2018, 10:00 AM

I had sent a e mail to AF asking about the trigger . Toms video stated 1.6 pound trigger pull . AF told me it is set at 3 pounds and only the length of pull is adjustable . Marvin
