cause it did well overseas, I guess.......movies are no longer being made inherently for American audiences, theyre creating them more and more for the overseas markets as well which include the voracious Asian and South American countries who gobble up American entertainment like mad. I remember when Sara was in Singapore black market Disney movies...still unfinished and without the music....were selling on the street for 100 dollars.They obviously are not going to have the same humour angle we do, its safer to steer clear of cultural humour and keep as physical and silly as possible.

I noticed in the Simpsosns movie...which has always dabbled in both....they concentrated a lot on the physical{ie Homer nailing his thumb, Bart skateboarding nude} and minimized the surreal humour that the Simpsons does best.}
