CGI always makes every thing look too air brush perfect, like wax fruit. Ratatoille was. of course, amazing visually, but there ya have a problem..its SO good you might as well have done it live action. Every toon I know has a "signature" look that sets it apart from its predessessors, some looks work better than others but they all create a unique look, an individual feel to the product that makes the viewing a bit different, and yeah I miss that.Flushed Away, Ober the Hedge, Madagasgar, Happy Feet, Surfs Up,Open Season, Hood Winked, Happily Never After...these movies all slid through my brain like goose liver through a tin horn {as my Grandma would say} and left no seiorus impression whatsoever.
