I dont think the Simpsons had legs

Its slowing down under 160 million.....so whats that, a 60 million profit???...not too bad...I mean ultimately it will make more money, you cant fail with dvds nowadays and yes, had a huge opening, that was expected,{and yes, I think they were expecting to make a ton of money, or they wouldnt have made the movie....no one animates a 2d movie these days with the philosophy....."I think Id like to break even....that would be nice."{Except Disney, of course} But I think the producers, given the insane popularity of the Simpsons thought it would be a runaway hit.Frankly I didint think it was that good a movie...and Im an insne Simpsons fan. Dont get me wrong, The Simpsons dont owe us anything, theyve been fabulous for far more years then we can possibly have imagined, I just thought most of the movie felt very recycled, and of ALL the guest stars they could have wheeled out I think Albert Brooks is the least entertaining and talented. He was basically redoing his old Mr Scorpio charcter from the series. Perhaps Im being too much like Comic Book Guy...wayyy too nit picky cause Ive seen too many eps....there were some chuckles...but I sorely missed most of the side characters input. They did a movie involving the EPA and the environment and Mr Burns was virtually no where to be seen???

Of course, theyve done tons of shows on that score in the series which brings me to my original beef....the plot was not particularly original. But Ill quit now before I put on 200 hundred pounds, grow a goatee and waddle around chewing a breakfast burrito.

Coal Black aint that bad??? hmmmmmmm.......Again, its a generational thing. When I was a kid race relations were at an all time low, and the country was set to be torched. You couldnt even say the word "black"....you never reffered to someone as a "Black person". Or NEVER metion terms like "jungle" or "monkey"......If a TV show like The Proud Family had debuted when i was a kid Detroit would have gone up in a nuclear blast.

Its interesting that you dont see the inferior depiction of blacks in that toon....first off, the fact that it is hysterically banned should be a tip off, and second, yeah, theyre shiftless, ignorant, gambling thick lipped bug eyed losers. And that was no celebration...that was ha ha...look at the funny niggers. Arent they all like that????

Now on to the Lion King. Gorgeous depictions of Africa, fabulous African inspired music..... kindly black voiced protagonists.....what was the problem???
