thats where it takes thought

something the disney fanart community is devoid of these days
i've seen everything from tracing real models' bodies to tracing screencaps and putting them together. and these are the pics that get all the attention! it makes me sick, and depressed. yes this is me venting as an artist who feels underappreciated, but its also me venting frustration at this stupid generation who is so easily amused by stupid cartoons that started it all... and they can't appreciate good work because NOTHING goes into this shit lately. NOTHING. (i blame spongebob personally.)

i was seriously watching beetlejuice and freakazoid the other day and lamenting the crap that's on for kids today. i pity the kids. (foo')

the hades tutu thing would work for someone like http://tvskyle.deviantart.com tvskyle. it really depends on the style. myself, i've done hades a la sanrio. it wasnt a perfect pic, but i thought it was cute at the time, and a way to get my foot in the door to doing more hades fanart.

not that i haven't wondered about drawing herc, but he's so bland and swirly compared to the jagged angles of hades and meg. herc reminds me of a golden cinnamon bun minus the sweetness. shrug and i only started on the persephone kick because i felt obligated to make pics of her for a roleplay. (which had its ups & downs)

but yeah, it doesnt have to be strictly on model. just practice until you can make it accurate. whatever. haha.
