Fustanella or (FUS TE TAN E LA) in albanian laguage, was used from souther albanians like in VLORA,DELVINA AND Çameria or ( EPIR) since the illyrian time, and illyrians wariors that had made wars with roman empire are shown with fustanella, in the 15th century fustanella was adopted by some central albanians.IF you know ali pash tepelana( an albanian man)all his soldiers had fustanella and some suliots and greeks had not fustanella.but in 1830-1913 with the creations of the greek state they tried to show fustanella as greek one, but first they didnt win becouse in 1830 to 1908 about half of the greek population was made up by albanians, but when greek get bigger and bigger, in greece were icluded a lot of vllah, macedonians, bulgarians,t urkish, and egyptians,so albanians become a minority( less than 20% and all those 20% mostly lived in epir)in 1912-1913 greece govermant tried to show some with photos albanians that lived in greec with fustanell, they tryed to show to EU that fustanella was greek, but nowbody lestened to them becouse no one greek wore that only albanians.later greece put fustanella like a nattional thing traditional one, and now fustanella and opinga( albanian shoes )are used only by greeks soldiers, but if you come in vlore a lot of people in vloras village still were them.
